A trip to Cagayan De Oro will not be complete if you do not try Whitewater Rafting. Cagayan De Oro become famous as the Whitewater Rafting Capital of the country.
There are lots of whitewater rafting outfitters you can choose from and we went with KAGAY. Rafting course packages must be at least 6 persons in a group. Luckily, our contact arranged the trip for us and we were able to join another group of 2. And the rafting pushed through eventhough we were not able to complete the minimum requirement per group. A raft can sit a maximum of 10 people with two guides. If you can’t find a group, you can pay the remaining spots. 🙂
We met our guide in Jollibee, Divisoria at 7am, wearing our rafting attire (shirt with armguard and shorts)! We chose the Advance Course (P1000 / head) which will last for 4 hours and has 24 rapids. We also paid P300/CD for pictures.
Ready to go!
Our guide was giving us instructions on different on different paddle commands and safety procedure.
2nd day Bukidnon, zipline day! 🙂
We arrived early at the Dahilayan Adventure Park (around 7:45). Since it’s early, the zipzone is still closed so we decided to go the park beside it to wait. (I think the entrance fee is 50 pesos).
When the zipzone opened, we immediately went to the counter to pay for our rides. There are 3 ziplines and we decided to ride all three for only 600 pesos (per pax).
Zipline New Rate Effective April 1, 2010
840mt (40kls. – 110 kls. only): P 500.00/pax/ride
320m + 150mt: P 250.00/pax/ride
Child Tandem: P 150.00 (if below 5 years old and weighs not over 20kls.)
All Rides (320mt. + 150mt. + 840mt.): P 600.00/pax/ride
1st ride: 320mt. zipline
2nd ride: 150mt. zipline
3rd ride: 840mt. zipline
The 840mt. zipline is the main attraction in the adventure park. It is the Asia’s longest dual zipline. I enjoyed this ride so much. You can control how fast you want it to be. You can spread out your arms to go slow and close them to your sides to go fast.

Since we cannot find a big group to join to for this trip. My boyfriend and I decided to go to Dahilayan Adventure Park by commuting.
From our hotel, we walked towards the highway and hailed a jeep (P8.00) going to Gusa Terminal. Then, we rode a van going to Camp Philips (P50.00).
From Camp Philips, you have two choices going to the park. Mutlicab which costs P1,500.00 or a habal-habal (P200.oo each (tw0-way)).
We chose the habal-habal and enjoyed the ride!
During the habal-habal ride, we stopped to take some photos.
TIP: The habal-habal ride is great but I will not recommend it as you won’t be wearing a helmet throughout ride. Wear a jacket, cap or shades and use sunblock!

February 13, 2011, fourth and last day of the festival that was held in Clarkfield, Pampanga. With the event’s ad exposure on the internet and other media, it was so crowded, specially the last day which falls on Sunday. However, we still enjoyed the event! 🙂
This is my first time to eat at Cabalen (Megamall), a restaurant that serves food from Pampanga. It was around lunch time and the restaurant was “jampacked” but they accommodated us.
Since this is my first time to eat in an Eat-All-You-Can restaurant, I told myself that I will try all the dishes on the buffet table. However, the food selection is so wide that I wasn’t able to try all! (Lechon, Sisig, Crispy Kangkong, Dinuguan, Adobo, Paksiw na Bangus, Kare-Kare, Tokwa’t Baboy, Crispy Crablets, Bopis, Ginataang Suso, Tocino, Sausages, etc.).
I just tried some of the dishes like kare-kare, crispy kankong(I so love!!!), tocino and longganisa!
Kare-kare at bagoong!
Cabalen Megamall offers Eat-All-you-Can Buffet for only P318 (tax included).
It’s a good place to eat together with family or friends especially if you have a big appetite. You won’t regret it. Great food, good service!
I just don’t wanna sleep pa so I decided to go outside (bakuran namin) and took some pictures. (pratice dahil 1 week pa lang hawak ang cam.)
Yeah, I’m a hopeless romantic. I so love this song.
“Even the best fall down sometimes
Even the stars refuse to shine
Out of the back you fall in time
I somehow find you and I collide”
